Yes, we are fully insured with both general liability and workers’ compensation coverage. Our policy is specifically designed to cover tree work, which is important, as standard landscaping insurance typically does not extend coverage to tree-related services. This ensures protection for your property, our team, and your project in the event of an accident or unforeseen damage.
You might want to consider tree care if you notice things like damaged limbs, trees growing too close to your roof, branches hanging over roads, trees crowding your home, or any unhealthy-looking limbs. We can help keep everything safe and well-maintained to keep your tree's as healthy as possible!
Yes, we do. While we hope you never experience an emergency—such as a tree falling on your home or vehicle—you can rely on the Woodland Professional Solutions to respond promptly and professionally when it matters most.
In the event of a real emergency(life threatening and/or time sensitive) Please CALL 911 for first responder assistance
The cost of your project will vary based on factors such as the type of service, tree size, accessibility, and overall complexity of the work. We’re happy to provide free, no-obligation estimates and pride ourselves on clear, transparent pricing—so you can feel confident knowing exactly what to expect, with no surprises.
There are several indicators that a tree may need to be removed, including:
• *Potential risk to nearby structures or other municipalities
• Structural instability
• Signs of fungal growth or root rot
• Poor or compromised root system health
• Storm-related damage
• Dead or declining limbs
Our team is happy to assess your tree and provide a clear, honest, and professional recommendation to help you make the best decision for your property.
Stump grinding is recommended to improve the appearance and overall upkeep of your property. While it is not always necessary—stumps will naturally decay over time—this process can take 5 to 10 years or longer, depending on the tree species and site conditions.
If you choose to have the stump and roots ground, the area can be immediately prepared for new grass, planting, or other landscaping once the work is complete, allowing you to restore and enhance your outdoor space right away.
For larger more complex projects, we may require a deposit to be sent at the time of the contract being signed to be able to move forward with scheduling specifics.
When we receive the signed contract and deposit payment, we will schedule the work to be performed.
Seasonal services (such as mowing, bed maintenance, and fertilization) are billed at the end of each month.
One-time services (such as tree removal) are billed when they are performed.
After grinding the stump, we use the resulting mulch to backfill the area, leaving it level and ready for its next use. The mulch can also be repurposed around your property to help suppress weeds and support healthy landscaping.
Underground utilities—such as gas, power, water, and cable—must always be considered before stump or tree work. Please inform us of any utilities when requesting a quote so we can coordinate with North Carolina 811 to have them marked at no cost.
If a stump or tree conflicts with marked utilities, we will review options with you and develop a safe, practical plan. Protecting your property and ensuring its safe use is our top priority.
Tree and root stump grinding is often more affordable than many expect. Pricing is based on the size of the stump, the extent of its roots, and any surface obstacles. We measure the stump at its base and face diameter to provide an accurate estimate.
The minimum fee for a single stump under 12" is $175, which may be lower if the stump is soft or partially decayed. All estimates are provided upfront, along with a clear price sheet—so there are no surprises.
For clients with two or more stumps in one location, we offer a 15% discount. Charges can also be divided between neighboring homes with separate invoices.
Our $175 minimum covers the cost of bringing our fully owned, fully insured equipment to your property. Safety is our top priority, and we never take unnecessary risks when operating machinery on your property.
We typically grind stumps 4 to 6 inches below grade. If you would like a deeper grind to prepare the area for planting or other landscaping, we are happy to accommodate—just let us know in advance.
For a single tree stump, the grinding process can take anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours, depending on factors like its size, location, and the condition of the tree.
To receive a free load of mulch, please contact us in advance to let us know you’re interested. We’ll need your address, the best phone number to reach you, your preferred delivery timeframe, and the location on your property for placement. Deliveries within 10 miles of our Asheville shop are complimentary; a $50 delivery fee applies for locations beyond that distance to cover time and fuel costs associated. We strive to make the process smooth and convenient for you.
